Black Body Heart Mind Consultancy is working in collaboration with the Rural Racism Research Project to provide the much needed therapeutic support for the research participants. This support is offered as three one to one somatic healing sessions, antidoting the harmful impact of rural racism.

Somatic Healing One to Ones
Racialised trauma is real and impacts many black, brown and global majority bodies, throughout the world. It is no secret that we live a world dominated by White Bodied Cultural Supremacy and this takes a toll on all bodies', and in particular on black, brown and global majority, bodies. There are many modalities with which we can approach the healing of trauma, Somatics is one.
Somatic healing has a focus on working with the person in a holistic way that includes the mind but focuses on the body and the deeper subconscious. Through Somatic healing we can access some of the deeper elements of our traumatic retention. Racialised trauma unlike PTSD is ongoing and impossible to extract oneself from the likelihood of experiencing it as a black, brown or global majority being.
Racism is an outcome of White Bodied Cultural Supremacy. It is historical, pervasive, institutional, systemic and persistent in British society. Whilst you didn't ask for it, only you can heal the harm caused to you because of it. It is time to take your life back and live with less fear, anger, dread and/or despair.
